Ocean Next’s mission is to explore and accelerate sustainable blue food solutions, including seaweed, marine ingredients, and techniques to utilize side streams. To drive this transformation, Ocean Next will in addition to in-house resources establish strategic partnerships with both R&D pioneers and established companies in the industry. By fostering collaboration and innovation, the goal is for Ocean Next to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable ocean solutions.

During Q2 2025, we are exploring a potential new venture together with the Finnish company SuperGround. The aim is for Ocean Next to build a product portfolio utilizing a cutting-edge technology that turns side streams from seafood production into new marine ingredients. The product portfolio will encompass consumer products such as burgers, fish fingers, and broth, helping to increase the share of seafood utilized while also reducing costs.
