Ocean Collective strengthens its position through the acquisition of Kosterfiskarn’s Uppland–Stockholm AB
The Swedish industrial group Ocean Collective is strengthening its presence in the Stockholm region by acquiring the family-owned company Kosterfiskarn’s Uppland–Stockholm AB. Ocean Collective is acquiring 100% of Kosterfiskarn’s Uppland–Stockholm AB. The company will continue to operate independently from its base in northern Stockholm, and all employees will remain in their roles.
“We are very pleased to further strengthen our commercial capabilities in the Swedish market by complementing our previous acquisition of Kosterfiskarn in the Stockholm area, creating a unified platform. This acquisition significantly reinforces our commercial capacity in the Nordic region’s largest market,” says Jörgen Bergqvist, CEO and co-founder of Ocean Collective.
Kosterfiskarn’s Uppland–Stockholm will join the group alongside Kosterfiskarn’s Stockholm–Mälardalen AB, Korshags Food AB and Ocean Next AB, with the group led by a shared management team.
“Together with our customers, we see great opportunities to develop the seafood category through an even stronger product offering under our two brands, Korshags and Kosterfiskarn. In addition, there are major synergies in production, procurement, logistics and retail execution that will now be further strengthened,” continues Jörgen Bergqvist.
“We are very happy that our life’s work has found a new home and can continue to develop to the next level with new owners and together with our staff,” says Jonas Hellblom, the current principal owner of Kosterfiskarn’s Uppland–Stockholm, who will also remain active in the new structure.
